Markus is a collector of arts.  His collection is about American artists with German images, e.g. Warhol, Lichtenstein, Indiana, Christo & Jeanne-Claude, Fazzino and Kaufmann.

In 2003, he supported the exhibition "German Art Now" of the St. Louis Art museum. In the picture you see the the curator of the exhibition, Cornelia Homburg, and adminstrative staff next to the German painter Prof. Markus Lüpertz.
